How anger destroys a life ?

There was a carpenter shop in a town. As the carpenter went home after shutting down his workshop, a black poisonous cobra entered his workshop. The cobra was hungry and hoped to find its supper lurking somewhere within. It slithered from one end to another and accidentally bumped into a double-edged metal axe and got slightly injured. In anger and to seek revenge, the snake bit the axe with full force. What could've a bite done to a metallic axe. Instead the cobra's mouth started bleeding. Out of fury and arrogance, the cobra tried its best to strangle and kill the object that was causing it pain by wrapping itself very tightly around the blades. The next day when the carpenter opened the workshop, he found a seriously cut, dead cobra wrapped around the axe blades. The cobra died not because of someone else's fault but faced these consequences merely because of its own anger and wrath. Sometimes when angry, we try to cause harm to others but with passage of time...

Relevant enquiry

As long as a man is in the full vigor of life, he forgets the naked truth of death, which he has to meet. Thus a foolish man makes no relevant inquiry about the real problems of life. Everyone thinks that he will never die, although he sees evidence of death before his eyes at every second. Here is the distinction between animalism and humanity.  An animal like a goat has no sense of its impending death. Although its brother goat is being slaughtered, the goat, being allured by the green grass offered to it, will stand peacefully waiting to be slaughtered next. On the other hand, if a human being sees his fellow man being killed by an enemy, he either fights to save his brother or leaves, if possible, to save his own life. That is the difference between a man and a goat. An intelligent man knows that death is born along with his own birth. He knows that he is dying at every second and that the final touch will be given as soon as his term of life is finished. He therefor...

You are my life

There was a boy who was sent by his parents to a boarding school. Before being sent away this boy was the brightest student in his class. He was at the top in every competition. He was a champion.   But the boy changed after leaving home and attending the boarding school. His grades started dropping. He hated being in a group. He was lonely all the time. And there were especially dark times when he felt like committing suicide. All of this because he felt worthless and that no one loved him.   His parents started worrying about the boy. But even they did not know what was wrong with him.   So his dad decided to travel to the boarding school and talk with him.   They sat on the bank of the lake near the school. The father started asking him casual questions about his classes, teachers and sports. After some time his dad said, ‘Do you know son, why I am here today?”   The boy answered back, “to check my grades?”   “No, no” his ...

Be Willing To Learn Throughout The Life

One truck driver was doing his usual load delivery at a mental hospital, by parking his vehicle bes ide an open drain. He discovered a flat Tyre when he was about to return from the mental hospital. He jacked up the truck and removed the flat Tyre to fix the spare Tyre.   When he was about to fix the spare Tyre, he accidentally dropped all the 4 bolts in the open drain. As he cannot fish the bolts in the open drain, he started to panic as to what should be done?   Just then, one patient happened to walk past him and asked the driver as to why he was looking troubled. The driver thought to himself, since there is nothing much he can do or this mental joker can.Just to keep the bugging away, the truck driver informed the whole episode to the mental patient and gave a helpless look.   The patient just laughed at the truck driver and said you just cannot even fix such a simple problem? "No wonder you are destined to remain a truck driver for life".   ...

what are you afraid of

Don’t Be Afraid - Here we are, afraid of losing what we have all the time, holding on to it so tight that not a soul can touch it. We think by hiding it from th e world, it’s hidden and it’s ours.   Nothing is. Nothing ever will be. For, nothing ever was.   If you think there is anything that you have, that’s yours, be it money, a house, a job, or a position… it’s nothing but an illusion. It’ll all disappear… in one blow.   Here we are, so insecure that we are afraid of re-starting our lives, so we just carry on trying to sort out the current mess. The thought that we should give it all up and just start all over – with nothing – might cross our minds some time, sure, but we get scared and we push away anything that scares us.   There is nothing I can ever achieve or gain that I cannot lose, in a matter of seconds. You have never gained enough to not be able to lose it all, in just a few minutes. What you think is yours, was never yours and will ...

Life Journey

Life is like a journey on a train...with its stations...with changes of routes...and with accidents.   At birth, we boarded the train and met our parents, and we believe they will always travel on our side.   However, at some station our parents will step down from the train, leaving us on this journey alone. As time goes by, other people will board the train; and they will be significant, e.g. our siblings, friends, children, and even the love of our life. Many will step down and leave a permanent vacuum. Others will go unnoticed so that we don't realize that they vacated their seats.   This train ride will be full of joy, sorrow, fantasy, expectations, hellos, goodbyes, and farewells. Success consists of having a good relationship with all passengers...requiring that we give the best of ourselves.   The mystery to everyone is: We do not know at which station we ourselves will step down. So, we must live in the best way - love, forgive, and ...
