Peaceful Mind

There once was a farmer who discovered that he had lost his watch in the barn. It was no ordinary watch because it had sentimental value for him. After searching high and low among the hay for a long while; he gave up and enlisted the help of a group of children playing outside the barn. He promised them that the person who found it would be rewarded. Hearing this, the children hurried inside the barn, went through and around the entire stack of hay but still could not find the watch. Just when the farmer was about to give up looking for his watch, a little boy went up to him and asked to be given another chance. The farmer looked at him and thought, "Why not? Fresh Fish

The Japanese have always loved fresh fish. But the waters close to Japan have not held many fish for decades. So to feed the Japanese population, fishing boats got bigger and went farther than ever. The farther the fishermen went, the longer it took to bring in the fish. If the return trip took more than a few days, the fish were not fresh. The Japanese did not like the taste. To solve this problem, fishing companies installed freezers on their boats. They would catch the fish and freeze them at sea. Freezers allowed the boats to go farther and stay longer. However, the Japanese could taste the difference between fresh and frozen and they did not like frozen fish. The frozen fish brought a lower price. So fishing companies installed fish tanks. They would catch the fish and stuff them in the tanks, fin to fin. After a little thrashing around, the fish stopped moving. They were tired and dull, but alive. Unfortunately, the Japanese could still taste the difference. B

You are !!!

You are strong... when you take your grief and teach it to smile. You are brave... when you overcome your fear and help others to do the same. You are happy... when you see a flower and are thankful for the blessing. You are loving... when your own pain does not blind you to the pain of others. You are wise... when you know the limits of your wisdom. You are true... when you admit there are times you fool yourself. You are alive... when tomorrow's hope means more to you than yesterday's mistake. You are growing... when you know what you are but not what you will become. You are free... when you are in control of yourself and do not wish to control others. You are honorable... when you find your honor is to honor others. You are generous... when you can give as sweetly as you can take. You are humble... when you do not know how humble you are. You are thoughtful.. . when you see me just as I am and treat me just as you are. You are merciful... when you
