PMI India Chennai Champions gathered @ 36 degrees on 4th May 2013. In this meet, new badges for champions and PMI India - Champion of the Quarter Awards felicitation happened. After casual chatting, new badges for champion handed over to all the champions. Received "Champion of the Quarter Award" - Q3 2012 from Kethari. Bagged Champion of the Quarter awards consecutively two quarters in Q3 and Q4 2012. Received  "Champion of the Quarter Award" - Q4 2012 from Kethari along with other champions.   After award felicitation, we exchanged couple of updates about our activities and shared some of the best practices also. we planned to have this kind of regional connect every month.  

After long time a short vacation during last week of April, this time we went to Yergaud and had good time with family members. Weather was good and enjoyed this trip to the core. Realized how our energy levels boost in the hill stations. Started our visit from Pakkoda Point. Sriraghav and Sakshana (niece) enjoyed the shooting. Sri tried bow and arrow also at Ladies Seat. We enjoyed our boating time @ lake:   Night time weather was really good. Hotel Shevaroys @ Yergaud - Good Place to Stay. Sri, Shaurav and Sakshana (niece) were playing all the time. They want this kind of trip for every vacation. We keep these memories for life time. Next time will plan for another good place. 

PMI India formed a small steering committee to get all sectors project management expertise under one umbrella, Based on this group Senior Leaders and Practitioners from different organizations invited to be part of this Excellence Enablers Forum.   On 4th Apr 2013, we had first connect at Bangalore, Taj Vivanta. Got opportunity to interact with many like minded people and good thoughts shared among us. Interacted with Dr. Terry Cook from UK, who has more than 45 years of experience in Project Management. Such a humble person, explained things in detail and he was very approachable, I learned few good things from him during a short discussion.   Looking forward more to contribute to this forum and learn from others also.

My journey with India Leadership Network, started few year back in LinkedIn group. Involved actively in many discussions and shared the knowledge with this group. During year 2012, meetups were initiated in city level and In chennai we had connect at Coffee world with 15 members. When started reading some articles and books related to boosting childrens self esteem, found the below things are more important and people who put effort to prepare this, done good analysis also. Self-esteem is manifested in many different ways and no one in the world shows self-confidence in all situations, all the time. Having said that however, all parents would like their child to be a self-confident individual as opposed to a self-doubting, fearful individual who is afraid to act for fear of failure and is dependent upon others for approval. The latter tend to suffer from problems of low self-esteem and depression, and an inability to cope effectively with the problems of daily life.    Self-confident children are willing to take risks and challenge themselves and have the ability to dream big dreams, follow through and to meet all obstacles with courage.   What are the ways in which we can help our children become more self-confident? ...

On 2nd Feb 2013, went to PSNA Engg College to deliver the special lecture on Insititute Vs Industry Knowledge Gap as part of ISTE Student's Chapter Event. Started the session with Goal Setting, then explained about STAR Framework, which will help students to acheive their goals. Explained to students about different career tracks, then how they can align their goal to these tracks. Shared couple of platforms which they can get from PMI, MMA and Toastmasters Club. Also insisted the importance of certifications like CAPM, OCP, CCNA and LOMA.

On 10th Jan 2013, visited to NIT - Department of Management Studies and gave guest lecture to MBA students. It was a very interactive session, addressed to many queries which students had about career track. Insisted the importance of Goal Setting before they choose the specialization in their course and joining with an organization. Also discusssed about different career tracks and how certifications can help them to grow in their career.
