NEC Visit
Started from Chennai on 30th April to Madurai. After 30 mins delay flight landed at Madurai Airport. Then journey continued by car to Kovilpatti. Guesthouse located next to highway and experienced a very peaceful place to stay. Had sound sleep without any noise disturbance after longtime.
On 1st May morning, had typical south Indian breakfast made by Guesthouse chef Mr.Arumugam, then proceeded to college. Had discussion with few Sr. Professors and HODs about the current educational system and the gap between institutional education and Industrial requirement.

Around 10 AM the Alumni day function started with prayer and followed by welcome address. When I have to give Chief Guest Address to the group of people who gathered on that occasion, just witnessed that different age group people attending from different parts of India.
Then few things came to my mind, which need to be delivered to that group. First addressed about Positive Attitude. Following that, insisted on three important aspects of Life. 1. How to make Life Successful in Professional. 2. How to make the Life Complete in personal. 3. How to make the life meaningful by doing social service. Also insisted about new learning and continuous improvement in day-to-day Work and Life. After the speech annual magazine released and copies given to special guests.
After the function had a nice feast along with alumni and professors where southern Tamilnadu dishes made in its style and served to all of us. Hospitality was great and everyone explaining about the specialty of those dishes. Managing director accompanied me till guesthouse and it was nice experience to have small discussion during that travel.
In guesthouse after relaxation, started to Madurai by car around 3:30 PM. During that one hour journey, had " Nannari sharbhat" (Southern Tamilnadu Softdrink ) and Sugar cane juice. Finally had Jigarthanda (Madurai’s special drink) after reached Madurai airport, which was brought by one of my friend from very famous shop of Madurai.
Finally reached to Chennai on 1st May around 6:30 PM. During weekend, away from Chennai gave lot of good experiences and new acquaintances. Like to thank Mr. Kannayeram, from NEC for wonderful arrangements during the visit as well as for “Kadalai mittai”(Kovilpatti special snack). Thanks to Mr. Rajagopal, for nice company given during the car drive.
